SHAD Event – The Story of an Accident

Hosted by the Scottish House Builders Health & Safety Forum and supported by the Health and Safety Executive, BTO Solicitors LLP and Forum Interactive this special event is being delivered specifically for the SHBHSF.

The event will be based on the circumstances of an accident and specifically explore the influence of the senior management decisions, the resultant behavioral attitude of the site team and specifically the actions taken by individuals which then contributed to the accident.


We will then detail the HSE investigation procedure and thought process which may follow and gain an understanding of the decision making process, the regulatory functions and the legal requirements of their potential criminal investigation.

The potential consequences of criminal and civil proceedings will then be explained, and will look to avoid the pitfalls and highlight defense strategies where a collaborative approach could benefit your company and your insurers in the court room and beyond.
