Fire Safety – Safety and Health Awareness Day
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in partnership with the Scottish House Builders Health and Safety Forum and Homes for Scotland provided a ‘Fire Safety’ Safety and Health Awareness Day (SHAD) at the Falkirk Stadium, Westfield, Falkirk on Wednesday 9th March 2011.
Key speakers from the HSE; Fire & Rescue Service; UKTFA; BRE and the NHBC discussed the issues surrounding fire safety, particularly during Timber Frame construction, and provided advice on the measures that can be taken during the Planning; Design; Procurement and Construction stages to minimise the risk associated with fire.
