Fire Safety – Safety and Health Awareness Day
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in partnership with the Scottish House Builders Health and Safety Forum and Homes for Scotland provided a ‘Fire Safety’ Safety and Health Awareness Day (SHAD) at the Falkirk Stadium, Westfield, Falkirk on Wednesday 9th March 2011.
Key speakers from the HSE; Fire & Rescue Service; UKTFA; BRE and the NHBC discussed the issues surrounding fire safety, particularly during Timber Frame construction, and provided advice on the measures that can be taken during the Planning; Design; Procurement and Construction stages to minimise the risk associated with fire.
The event was beneficial to those who have an influence and are involved in decision making during the Planning, Design, Procurement and Construction of timber frame buildings, including those that offer design and build services or are involved in construction HSE management.
